Maharashtra is the state on western region of India and it is the nations and also world’s second most populous sub national entity. It has over the 110 million inhabitants and its capital. Mumbai is the financial capital of the nation and the headquarters of all the major banks, financial institutions and the insurance companies in country.


In this state, India’s Hindi film industry, Bollywood and the Marathi film and the Marathi film industry are also located. Maharashtra's business opportunities along with its potential to offer the higher standard of living attract the migrants from all over the India.


Ancient and the medieval Maharashtra includes the empires of the Satavahana dynasty, Rahtrakuta dynasty, western Chalukyas, Mughals and the Marathas. It is bordered by the Arabian Sea to west and the Indian of the Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Union territory of Dadra and the Nagar Haveli. Maharashtra state has several tourist destinations including the popular Hindu places of the crusade, Dehu, Pandharpur and the Alandi. The places with the most appealing include the Hazur Sahib Nanded at the Nanded and the Sai Baba Shrine at the Shridi. The most popular Hill station in the state includes the Chikhaldara, Mahabaleshwar and the Panhala. The state is also dotted with the caves from ancient Buddhist, Jain and the Hindu times such as Elephanta, Ajanta and Ellora caves are Unesco World Heritage Sites. This state is the most urbanized state in India, with the large cities beside Mumbai such as Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Thane, Solapur, Amravati, Satara, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Nanded and the Sangli.

2. Aurangabad
3. Konkan
4. Nagpur
5. Nashik
6. Pune

The state's six divisions are further categories into 36 districts, 109 sub-divisions and 357 talukas.

Climate:

Maharashtra has the typical monsoon climate, with the hot, rainy and cold weather seasons. Sometimes, dew, frost and hail also occur, depend on the seasonal weather.

The state has the large, multi-modal transportation system with largest road network in the India. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation(MSRTC) provides the economical and the reliable passengers road transport service in the public sector.

1. Mumbai 


Mumbai is also known as the Bombay. It is the capital city of Maharashtra. It is the most populous city in India. It is the eight most populous city in the world. Along with the urban areas it includes the cities of Navi Mumbai, Thane, Bhiwandi, Kalyan. It is one of the most populous urban regions in the world.

It lies on the west coast of India and has the deep natural harbour. Mumbai is also named as an alpha world city. It is the wealthiest city in India.

2. Pune:


Pune also known as the Poona is eight largest metropolises in the India and the second largest in the state bank of Maharashtra. It was also also known as Punyanagari in the old times.
Pune is situated 560 metres above the sea level on the Deccan plateau at the right of the bank of the Mutha River. Pune is the headquarters of the Pune districts and was one the centre of the power of Maratha Empire.

Pune is considered as the cultural capital of the Maharashtra. The Pune city is also known for manufacturing and the automobiles as well as the government and the private sector research institutes for the information technology (IT) education, management and training that attract migrants, students and professionals from India, South East Asia, Middle East and Africa.
