Canada is the country in North America consisting of ten provinces and three territories. It is Located in the northern part of the continent. It extends from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean. At 9.98 million square kilometers in total, Canada is the world's second-largest country by total area and fourth-largest country by land area. Its common border with the United States forms the world's longest land border.



The land that is now Canada has been inhabited for millennia by the various Aboriginal peoples.
Canada is the federal parliamentary democracy and the constitutional monarchy, with Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state. Canada is the member of the Commonwealth of Nations. The country is officially bilingual at the federal level. It is one of the world's most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, the product of large-scale immigration from many countries.

Geography:

Canada occupies a major northern portion of North America, sharing land borders with the contiguous United States to the south, the longest border between two countries in the world and the US state of Alaska to the northwest. Canada stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west; to the north lays the Arctic Ocean. 1. Toronto:

Toronto is the most populous city in Canada and the provincial capital of Ontario. It is located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. The history of Toronto began in the late 18th century when the British Crown purchased its land from the Mississaugas of the New Credit.  The city was ransacked in the Battle of York during the War of 1812. In 1834, York became a city and renamed to Toronto.

Vancouver officially the City of Vancouver is a coastal seaport city on the mainland of British Columbia, Canada. The Greater Vancouver area of around the 2.4 million inhabitants is the third most populous metropolitan area in the country and the most populous in Western Canada. Vancouver is one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities in Canada. 52% of its residents have the first language other than English. Vancouver is the Beta global city.
